We renew. We audit. We defend. Operators.
A 25-year operator firm presented with the visual sharpness of 2026's most impactful brands. The tokens, primitives, and compositions on this page are the design source-of-truth for every UMS surface.
Warm canvas. Precise signal.
Bone holds 60–70% of every interface. Ink and graphite hold 20–30% as specific dark moments - never the default register. Signal green is reserved for designed UI states and small accents on real numbers; never composited as scan lines or LED glow.
The scales beneath the surface.
Every spacing decision, every corner, every transition resolves
to one of these tokens. Defined once in global.css;
referenced everywhere. Override only at the boundary of a real
new register - never to make a one-off pixel land.

Three stacks. One voice.
Syne for display. Inter for body. JetBrains Mono for technical labels - kickers, metadata strips, REDACTED tags, mono captions. Mono is the device that gives marketing copy structural authority.
Got an audit letter? Don't respond yet - call us first. The first 48 hours decide how big the number on the table gets, and we routinely cut publisher demands by 78–94%.
The structural-authority devices.
The kicker opens a section. The metadata strip carries hero context without marketing voice. The single-word moment anchors major page transitions. None of these scale by being repeated - they scale by staying scarce.
Verify.

Hairline border. Mono labels. Bone-soft fill. The signal-green focus ring is the only saturated color - it earns its weight by being scarce. Field copy is operator-direct: state what you need and what happens next.
Every interactive element ships six states.
Default, hover, active, focus, disabled, loading. The signal focus ring is non-negotiable - it carries the keyboard contract for every operator who navigates without a mouse. WCAG AA contrast at minimum on every text + ground combination.
- Focus ring
1.5px signal-green outline at 3px offset, applied via
:focus-visibleonly. Never suppressed. - Contrast Ink on bone passes WCAG AAA. Steel on bone is for labels only - never body copy. Signal-green on ink passes AA Large.
- Keyboard
Tab order follows DOM order. Skip-link to
#mainon long pages. Modal traps focus until dismissed. - Motion
All transitions and animations honor
prefers-reduced-motion: reduceat the global level. - ARIA
Mono-label kickers and metadata strips carry
role=groupwitharia-label. REDACTED tags carry anaria-labeldescribing the redaction.
Operator vocabulary. No marketing reflex.
UMS shows up as the team that has sat across the audit table for twenty-five years. The voice is direct, transcript-anchored, never glossy. These pairs are the working filter - what to write, what to delete.

About us · Our story
A claim, not a category. Earns the attention each section asks for.
Anonymized at client request.
The REDACTED card is how UMS shows confidential proof without naming the client. Bone card, hairline border, mono header, abstract subject, audit-ledger progress bars at the foot. One pattern, three industries, the same authority.
NYC OTI consolidated $800M+ across 24 agency M365 estates.
Publisher claim cut from $35M to $7.5M before settlement.
Mistral cover. UMS subjects.
For case-study covers and editorial heroes, photography stays cinematic but unmodified - the brand layers on top via CSS. Outline-only viewfinder, L-shaped corner anchors, em-dash co-brand lockup, an outlined industry pill. No glow, no scan lines.
When the city of New York consolidated $800M+ in software, the method had a name.
Specific dark moments.
Dark register is reserved - logo lockups, isometric data slides, certain isolated quote treatments, the named-client proof band. Never the default hero, never decorative. When the system goes dark, it should mean something.
Logo lockups, all-black isometric data slides, the gravest proof modules. The deepest surface in the system.
Dark panels, navigation, focused dark sections. Slightly lifted off black - adds dimension without losing the dark register.
Headlines on light, primary buttons, the dark synthesis result strip. The brand's working high-contrast tone.
Technical panels. 6–10px radius.
Avoid SaaS rounded-2xl. Hairline border. Low shadow. Prefer paper or bone-soft on the bone canvas - graphite and black-field only when the dark register is genuinely warranted.
Default proof tile.
White on the bone canvas. The workhorse card. Used for evidence tiles, pricing rows, audit ledgers.
variant=paperSub-tile inside a bone section.
Slightly more saturated than the page. Use to group secondary content without breaking the warm canvas.
variant=bone-softHairline ghost row.
FAQ rows, audit ledger lines, pricing detail. Drops weight when the surface needs to feel like data not panel.
variant=outlineSpecific dark moments only.
Logo lockups, isometric data, isolated quote treatments. Rarely the right answer; right when it is.
